New Care and Connect Dates Announced!
Updated: Nov 4, 2020
In the spring of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic had a disastrous impact on family child care business owners across Virginia. Some closed, most lost revenue, the cost of doing business soared due to the need for cleaning supplies and personal protection equipment, and long workdays got even longer.
In response to these challenges faced by family child care providers, the Virginia Alliance for Family Child Care Associations (VAFCCA) put together a crisis response team to help support providers through 2021. One of our significant accomplishments has been to host a series of Care and Connect sessions for family child care business owners.
These Zoom meetings are sponsored and hosted by family child care providers, for family child care providers. To date, over two hundred providers from across the state have joined a session to share their stories, to get support, and hear about the latest developments in the state.
VAFCCA is happy to announce that the schedule has been set for upcoming Care and Connect sessions through June of 2021. These sessions are a chance for you to join with FCC business owners across Virginia to learn, share, and connect.
