VAFCCA carries your concerns to Richmond!

VAFCCA Team

At the Alliance, we are constantly working on your behalf to advance family child care in Virginia. We have great news to share with you regarding our ability to bring your concerns to state government.

VAFCCA's president, Cheryl Mormon, has been elected to Virginia's Early Childhood Advisory Committee (ECAC). The request for committee applicants listed the new ECAC as "an essential component of Virginia’s new unified early childhood system." This is part of the Governor's plan to consolidate oversight and administration of VA's early care and education under the VA Department of Education. "The role of the ECAC will be to review and advise the Board on all programs, systems and regulations related to the unified early childhood system."

We are excited by this new opportunity for the Alliance to ensure your voice is heard in Richmond!
